Location Location HOMEApproaching from the East or West on the A689 in the Wear valley. Head for Daddry Shield between Eastgate and St Johns Chapel.Driving from EAST..Approaching Daddry Shield. Take a sharp LEFT just after the bridge..you are then travelling back the way you came except on the South side of the river.Driving from WEST just as you leave Daddry Shield but before you cross the river take a sharp RIGHT on to a single track road that is on the South side running parrallel with the river. When conditions are tricky & for those without 4x4 or chains there is a layby on this bottom road for parking..you can then hitch/walk on up to the tows. When driving all the way up travel along this bottom road for about 3/4km then take a sharp RIGHT up a steep single track road . After approx 5km you will come to Ski Club Parking area and directions to the tows.
