Weardale Ski Club is a friendly club offering skiing / snowboarding, when conditions are favourable, in the North of England on REAL SNOW. Historically this has been between 5 and 45 days in a season.
A season's pass costs just £48 for an adult season ticket and allows you to ski any day that we are open.
Please note: sorry to say we don't do boot / ski / snowboard hire or lessons, and the slopes are not suited to beginners. Better to get a lesson at Silksworth Ski Slope and hire from there as well if you don't have skis / snowboard.
We are situated 30 miles west of Durham and offer the longest lift served ski run in England.

Trip Time: 2.20 mins to the summit at 2150 feet (650m) where you are greeted by a vast North facing bowl offering unlimited terrain, with 6 or 7 regular routes and up to 34 routes that include several natural snow parks.
We also have a
large heated club lodge
which is ideal for having your packed lunch.
The tows are run by volunteers and being a not for profit club, we depend on the good will of the team who look after the slope and its equipment. If you'd like to get involved, do get in touch. info@skiweardale.com
Snow can come anytime between November and April. We aim to open at the weekend and Wednesday, but if the snow cover is good, we open on other days too when we have volunteers available.

Season tickets are available to anyone until we reach our maximum membership. They not only offer great value, but you can also benefit from discounts at numerous sports retail outlets etc.
Under 18s must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.

Only follow the route opposite - do not attempt the road from Teesdale in winter conditions, it is often blocked and dangerous. Please do not use back road from Westgate as courtesy for the residents make sure sat nav does not take you on these routes!
Travel to Daddry Shield - DL13 1NB then follow this route to DL13 1PB (3 miles). This will take you to the bottom of the ski club car park.
